PART TIME Admin Assistant

Do you want PART TIME work around the school run? Do you have good office admin and secretarial support skills? If so, our client, a global manufacturing company based in Tameside is looking for someone just like you to join their team.

Due to retirement, they are looking to recruit a PART TIME administrator, working closely with the MD`s PA to assist with the smooth running of the office and ensure both internal and external customers are supported.

You would interact with various departments within the business that may need extra administrative help as well as cover reception over lunch. With this in mind, we are looking for strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help where help is needed and work towards collective goals.

This is a role you can really make your own if you wanted to as there is a lot of flexibility to support everything from charity events, staff training along with various other managers as well as the day to day intricacies of a support role.

Duties would include:

• General administrative and secretarial support to the business across departments
• Production and document preparation
• maintaining filing systems
• Using software packages such as; Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel etc., to produce correspondence and documents and to maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases
• Coordinate pool cars, training certificates etc.
• Provide cover for reception
• Booking rooms and conference facilities as well as overseas travel
• Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment
• Organising and sending outgoing post
• Arranging in-house and external events from charity functions to staff events)
• Maintain management information systems (manual or computerised)
• Research tasks

We are looking for:

• Experience within an administrative or secretarial role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Genuine desire to work Part time
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent telephone manner and well presented
• Organised, efficient and able to work to deadlines
• Strong IT literacy skills, particularly on Word, Excel and Outlook

In return you can expect:

• Salary: £18k-£20k (pro rata)
• 9.30am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday (slightly flexible on this)
• Range of benefits including 23 days holiday + Bank Hols and excellent pension scheme
