Atalian Servest`s Procurement team are seeking an ambitious minded individual; to support the Head of Group Procurement in managing supplier relationships with the vision to continuously improve supplier performance. Building productive working relationships is key within this role, so excellent communication skills is essential!

Based at our site just on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds town, you will join a motivated and ambitious team! We are looking for a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills, you will be the link helping to manage supplier relationship within our business.

Main responsibilities:

• Work with the supply base to promote and achieve continuous improvement for both the supplier and the organisation
• Form strong, productive relationships to ensure Atalian Servest is the customer of choice in terms of innovation from the supply base
• Evaluate the use and choice of pre-qualified suppliers, pre-qualification criteria or processes for supplier appraisal in the sourcing process taking into account stakeholder requirements
• Research information on suppliers using appropriate sources of information to select appropriate suppliers
• Evaluate the financial, commercial and technical capabilities of potential suppliers
• Ensure supplier relationship management processes and improvement plans are proactively executed to correct defective performance for the delivery of purchased goods or services
• Monitor the supply of goods and services to ensure required performance standards and KPIs are achieved - and to identify where changes in the contract are required taking actions to implement these

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and personal qualities:

• Customer focused, with excellent communication and mediation skills, having the ability to engage with people at all levels
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, and deliver within a fast paced environment.
• You will have a thorough, reliable approach with a high level of detail
• Computer literate - confident using the Microsoft package
• Able to effectively organise and effectively prioritise workload with high attention to detail
• Can work on own initiative, and is confident with lone working, as well as working effectively within a team

The Procurement team operate during the hours of Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 17:30pm, however flexibility to meet the needs of the business is essential.
