Administrator / HR Administrator - Lighthouse Women's Aid are recruiting an Administrator to join our well known charity on a Fixed Term contract until July 2020, with the possibility to extend.

Lighthouse Women's Aid is the leading specialist charity providing accommodation, services and support for victims of domestic abuse

The Administrator will play a vital part of our business and the key focus will be to provide an efficient and well-organised office environment ensuring that all administrative tasks are carried out.

Other key duties include:

• Maintenance of stationery stocks, postage stamps and other supplies as required
• Being the first point of contact for incoming communications and either action or direct to relevant member of staff as appropriate.
• Updating LWA contact list as required
• Complete and record the weekly fire alarm check for WH
• Complete meter reading for photocopier
• Manage and maintain Charity website
• Support the Management Team with regard to the agenda and minute taking at the Management Team and other appropriate meetings
• Attend and actively participate in internal and external meetings as directed by the Chief Executive Officer
• Manage responses for annual WAFE survey
• Assist with HR related duties such as DBS checks for new recruits
• Ensure that information held on staff files is up to date, accurate and complete, and kept secure in accordance with GDPR legislative requirements
• Update Database systems and internal systems as appropriate
• Update and maintain on-call rota
• Research and circulate weekly court lists
• Take minutes at Team Meetings if required
• Be willing to support the IDVA manager in developing the service
• Adhoc duties as and when required

Skills, attributes and experience required:

• Proven knowledge of experience in office administration
• Experience of working in a Human Resources environment highly desirable
• Demonstrable knowledge of employment law
• Experience of using and maintaining databases
• Experience of maintaining and updating records and analysing and collating data and other information
• Experience of taking minutes
• Excellent I.T. skills - use of Microsoft Office suite word, email, excel, publisher and internet
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Proactive, empathetic and organised
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with conflicting demands and pressures
• Understanding of the issues for women and children affected by domestic abuse is desirable
• Own transport required due to occasionally being required to travel to other sites

This is an excellent opportunity to join a charity that really make a difference. On offer is a salary of £22000 per annum.

This is a Fixed Term, Full Time role working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
