Employers can now 'measure job satisfaction'


Employers now have the tools to measure job satisfaction, a new study has claimed.

The report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Managing People in a Changing World, shows how a company can plot levels of engagement for an entire workforce.

It looks at several factors, including financial performance, productivity, outsourcing, leadership and innovation, through its own human capital database.

Richard Phelps, partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers, said the report helps employers to "ascertain how they are performing in previously uncharted areas".

"More and more companies are working hard to be perceived as responsible employers, to build attractive employer brands and fulfil their reputation as a responsible company."

The report also recognises knowledge process offshoring, where knowledge or judgment services are run from other countries.

The latest employment statistics show UK and Eurozone unemployment figures are at all-time lows.
