'Plenty of job vacancies' for Manchester secretaries

Qualified secretaries in Manchester can look forward to a year of plenty of options ahead, according to training organisation Manpower.

The firm claims that employment opportunities, particularly for secretarial staff, are on the up – mainly due to development areas like Trafford Park where Manpower manager Dave

Wilson, says "there are temporary and permanent vacancies across all sectors".

"The labour market in and around Manchester is growing at a stable rate, reflecting the cautious employer confidence among businesses in the area, " Mr Wilson claimed.

"A growing demand for warehouse and factory workers, as well as skilled administrative and secretarial staff, continues to buoy the jobs market. "

Figures from Manpower's latest quarterly survey reveal that 12 per cent of employers in the city plan to take on more new recruits in the first three months of next year.

Mr Wilson added that in 2008, more businesses are expected to re-locate or open new offices in the bustling hub which is likely to also open up more opportunities for job seekers.ADNFCR-1196-ID-18412892-ADNFCR
